Programme
SteerComm have published the draft programme (20/02/2008,12:55 306.92 Kb) of ECIC XIII.
The theme of the conference is...
Challenge 2.0 - Church Communication and Social Networking
Web 2.0 is shorthand for the Internet having become a social
network that is characterised by user generated content, mash-ups and
broad-band multimedia applications. Social networks emerge in this
environment and change communication. The distribution of content can
no longer be controled, institutions dissolve into networks. In order
to communicate effectively the Good News the Church will need to adapt
its communication strategy. This Conference will explore this Challenge
and analyse what Web 2.0 means for the Christian Church and for
Christian Communications.
